We made t-shirts. They sold out in 3 days. We’re going to make more. Thanks to Geoffery for modelling these for us.
A while ago I’lls’ popped up on my twitter feed after releasing their track “Thrice” and quickly being chosen to play Parklife in Melbourne. For whatever reason I forgot to keep going back and sussing out what they were up to but at a recent Chet Faker show caught the end of their live show…was dope. I’ve been listening to their track “Too Many Words” on repeat ever since which aches with regret and emotive vocals and drawn out melodies….well that’s what I got out of it anyway.

On Saturday our boys Bleeding Knees Club headlined the Northcote Social Club, Dune Rats are Drunk Mums supported – shit sold out during the week. It was hands down the best show I’ve been to all year, it made me feel like I did when I was 15 and used to and see Kisschasy and Horsell Common at The Embassy Hotel in Penrith. Mad community vibe going down, everyone dressing up, crowd surfing from the start, home made banners…all that shit. Check out some of the videos and photos below.
Crazy props to all those who attended and thanks for reminding us that the scene still exists!

A while ago our friend Jai flew to America and created a documentary on (mostly) the 90′s punk movement. He interviewed everyone from Green Day and Blink 182 to Rancid, Bad Religion and NOFX. Tony Hawk narrated it. Unfortunately the music clearances proved to be to costly so the film was only ever screened once (at the Calgary International Film Festival).
However ONE ONE NINE FOUR leaked on the internet yesterday….watch it below. Inspiring as fuck.

OPOSSUM is the solo project of Kody Nielson who is the former lead singer of New Zealand punk band The Mint Chicks. He also now plays the drums in Unknown Mortal Orchestra (which is his brother Reuban’s [who also played in The Mint Chicks] solo project). Anyway, this his new film clip for the tripped out single “Blue Meanies”. It was filmed by our friend Sam at Pharm Productions. Check it out and hit a bong.
OPOSSUM has also just announced their first Australian shows.
Wednesday May 16 – Good God, Sydney
Thursday May 17 – Phoenix Public House, Melbourne
