I’ve said it before and I’m gonna repeat myself – City Calm Down are one of the most underrated bands kicking in Melbourne. Our bro Jack from the band swung me a link to their new EP overnight – once again, nailed it! I’m getting a bit over the influx of Australian electro bands wanting to be about “summer vybes” and it’s rad to see a band getting back to making shit a bit deeper and darker.

Our bro’s from Dune Rats have just dropped the film clip for their killer single ‘Pogo’. I’ve got BIG LOVE for these guys, they write catchy as fuck tunes and are some of the best dudes I’ve met. They’re playing Big Day Out on the Goldie this summer too. Get amongst it and dance around.

Bit late on posting this video. Real Estate have just announced an Australian tour and that they’ll be playing Golden Plains. Look up the dates or something.

Hipster Dogs > Hipster Cats

My friends and I enjoy a good internet moment as much as anyone. Today my friend Nick Yates posted this, relating to my other friend Michael Tramonte. The internet just exploded.

Melbourne band Alpine released a single titled ‘Hands’ about a fortnight ago, pretty killer track with some really cool vocals. It’s the first single to be taken from their debut album which is set to drop next year through our bro’s at Ivy League Records. Today they posted the film clip for ‘Hands’. To be honest, it’s basically just a whole lot of hot chicks in a house doing weird/provocative shit. Actually….it’s a mix between the movie ‘Virgin Suicides’, El Guincho’s film clip for ‘Bombay’ and a Bonds commercial.
