FRESH JUICE: TSHA – SACRED

By March 5, 2019 No Comments

This one isn’t exactly fresh, technically it came out in 2018 (it was December, alright, geez). But I’ve literally just stumbled across it via the new Bonobo Fabric Mix which dropped a couple of weeks ago. ‘Sacred’ is a downtempo house gem, reminiscent of big names in the game like George Fitzgerald, Leon Vynehall and Bonobo himself. Which is why it’s even more exciting that it’s from a relative newcomer to the scene, London producer TSHA. It’s a sprawling and spacious production coming in at five and half minutes (if you’re listening to the original), subtly building with layered textures and bubbling samples (actually they feel a bit like Bonobo’s ‘Cirrus’) before landing one of those beaut synth lines, you know, the ones that feel very hazy day-party doof. Whilst the track shows its influence perhaps a lil’ too much, and is a bit punchier on the Fabric mix, ‘Sacred’ is already worthy of high profile mixes, clubs and moody house playlists on its own. And TSHA will have a very big 2019. Trust.

PS: Listen to her Dawn EP, it might even be better than ‘Sacred’.

‘Sacred’ is out now, whilst Bonobo’s mixed version of it is found on his fabric presents Bonobo mix, also out now.
