Toronto’s Alvvays released a cracking self-titled debut album earlier this year and today we bring you a personal favourite from the release – ‘Archie, Marry Me’. Perhaps it’s in part due to the sheer contrast between the pitfalls of a bleak Australian winter and the vibrant summery feel to this track, but this is a killer modern take on love songs of the past in it’s essence. A bittersweet symphony of sunshine soaked guitars and wistful, tongue-in-cheek lyricism was enough to grab us right from the beginning. Feel the nostalgia
