FROTH OF THE DAY: CARIBOU – CVE LIVE 2011

By January 21, 2015 No Comments

Caribou aka Dan Snaith

Featuring excellent cuts from Ghent, London and Belgium shows, Caribou has released a three-track album from the 2011 touring days of what is now called the ‘Caribou Vibration Ensemble’, and features live members Keiran Hebden (Four Tet), James Holden, Ahmed Gallad (Sinkane) and John Schmersal (Enon). Running through the more familiar ‘Bowls’ and ‘Sun’ from 2010 LP Swim, the eleven piece create an awe inspiring, euphoria inducing aura around each pivotal moment throughout the short lived release, with the very special ‘Ahmed, Colin, James, Kieran, Kyle, Rob & Steve’ being the central focus of the collaborative album. A very special glimpse into Dan Snaith’s world – CVE Live 2011 is not to be missed, and nor are the upcoming live dates across Australia/NZ.

Caribou will be performing at the following dates of the 2015 St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival:
