LISTEN: Cosmo’s Midnight – The Dofflin (Wave Racer Remix)
This afternoon our buddies over at The Ripe premiered Wave Racer’s remix of ‘The Dofflin’ from fellow Sydney-siders Cosmo’s Midnight. These two up and coming electronic acts have been making waves this year (no pun intended, really) across the country and the world, and with good reason. Cosmo’s Midnight have impressed us greatly with their distinct brand of warm and emphatic Electronica, following the previously featured Surge EP from earlier this year and The Dofflin more recently to much acclaim. Wave Racer is currently on the triple j House Party tour and has garnered widespread praise for tracks ‘Stoopid’ and ‘Rock U Tonite’ amongst others, marking a huge rise to to prominence over the last few months. The merging of these two acts has resulted in a frenetic and upbeat remix which retains the core elements of the original yet still manages to produce the same exciting Wave Racer sound marked by explosive percussion, layered samples and bouncy synth lines.
