Melbourne five-piece Darts burst onto the blog this evening with their latest single titled ‘Westward Bound’. Drawing on the ideals of anxious optimism paralleled with depression in the time of transitioning to a new city, it’s easy to hear the root of the many sonic paradoxes that exist within this brazen single. Frayed guitars, wailing vocals and dissonant keys form a rich collage throughout the single, edging in and out of complete chaos and serene moments which rise so beautifully. Basically, these guys fucking rule. Check ’em out.
