You may remember Melbourne’s Foreign/National from November last year when we featured their debut single, ‘Paris’. The band returned this week with follow-up single ‘All Honesty’, a further look into the psych-laden, nostalgia-pop driven sound which they’ve been honing. All Honesty has the same ingredients as their debut — detuned guitars, psychedelic riffs and acid-soaked keys. This single, however, adds more into the Foreign/National mix, with jazzy chords floating over a baggy rhythm from the Madchester heyday of the Stone Roses or Primal Scream. We’ll be keeping a keen eye out for their EP, slated for release in April this year.
Foreign/National have 3 dates left of their home town Toff in Town residency this February:
Feb 11th: with Sunbeam Sound Machine // Hayden Calnin Music & Tom Milek
Feb 18th: with TBA // Danvers
Feb 25th: with Atolls // The Baudelaires
