Madrid four-piece Hinds have been making waves since 2011 (back when they went by the name Deers) with their distinct brand of fun-loving, breezy garage rock. As a lead in to their debut LP Leave Me Alone, the band have shared their new single ‘San Diego’. The track presents a fun mix of unabashed pop hooks and unchained lo fi sensibilities in spades. Whilst retaining the feel of a band who have really found their sonic identity, Hinds haven’t lost one bit of the DIY sound which characterised the Barn and Demo releases. Speaking of the single, the band noted: “We all have bad days. We mean bad nights. One day a friend told us “I don’t wanna fall asleep because I know what’s the dream about”. This song is about staying awake. Just staying awake”.
Hinds will release their album ‘Leave Me Alone’ on 8th January 2016 via Pod/Inertia
