We first heard ‘Loveweights’ as we were walking out the door for the holiday break and realised pretty quick that we’d need to follow up once we returned to spouting inane rhetoric about songs we like everyday. Melbourne duo Indian Summer turned heads last year with their brilliant single ‘Shiner’ (check it HERE) in tow with a slew of festival appearances, most notably Splendour In The Grass, and 2015 looks like they’re on track to continue along a similar trajectory. Having enlisted the vocal duties of lesser known Swedish vocalist Shaqdi, Indian Summer have crafted a single which certainly manages to push the boundaries with this one. The single is regimented with a shrill, recurring vocal that holds the piece as colourful, synthesised melodies interplay with organic percussion alongside immaculate vocals that really spring out of the mix quite effortlessly.
