There’s an unfathomable feeling of intimacy and dread that swarms throughout Kelsey Lu’s stunning single ‘Dreams’. Lifted from Lu’s debut EP set for release in just over a month, the track (recorded completely live along with the rest of the release) takes a smouldering approach to lay its roots, subtly building tension and warmth with the aid of a singular cello before her vocals unfurl to spectacular effect. Dreams is without a doubt one of the stronger introductions to an artist that I can remember. We’ll be keeping an ear out for the EP.
