Considering that it premiered just a few hours ago, Gold Fields’ remix of Little Dragon’s ‘Pretty Girls’ has already received it’s fair share of plays here in the I OH YOU office this afternoon. A fresh spin on an instant classic is rarely an easy task, but Gold Fields have managed to deliver an on-point re-imagination of the brooding original which nods effortlessly to french house and summer days gone by. Fans of the Ballarat outfit may not be waiting as long originally thought for new material, with a cryptic photo recently posted to Facebook of what appeared to be Melbourne mixing/mastering genius Andrei Eremin hard at work in the studio.
