After leaving a lasting impression on global audiences and critics alike with their debut LP Impersonator, Majical Cloudz wasted no time getting back into the studio – continuing to work tirelessly on their craft. ‘Are You Alone’ is cut from the same sonic fabric as the very enticing lead single ‘Silver Car Crash’, however lyrically it is gripped with a different malaise. Devon Welsh describes the tune as “a song about life! People doing things and feeling things and falling all over the place! Lots of emotions! Just trying to keep going! Sometimes it’s easy! Sometimes it’s hard! It’s a song about caring what happens! To other people!”. Hard not to sit up and take notice of cutting lyricism and soft repetition, slowly willing you to question ‘what’s the point of a sad sad song?’.
