To coincide with the release of their debut album ‘So It Goes’, New York hip hop trio Ratking took their frenetic live show onto Boiler Room in London earlier this month. Whilst the set featured a hearty mix of old and new, the clear standouts came in the form of the recently released Canal, So It Goes and Snow Beach as the crowd was worked into a frenzy (see if you can spot collaborator King Krule amongst them). The album itself has been one of the true revelations of 2014 for us; So It Goes found it’s own unique place along an illustrious timeline of New York bred hip hop whilst thrusting itself forward with a unique mix which includes a broad array of influences ranging from jungle music to early Detroit techno.
