FROTH OF THE DAY: SAMPHA – (NO ONE KNOWS ME) LIKE THE PIANO

You will struggle to find anyone else that can break you down and make you feel ‘real things’ as well as Sampha can. The London based multi-talented and multifaceted young artist is on the brink of taking the world by storm, and if you think I’m a being a tad over zealous, then you need to listen to his latest single ‘(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano’. The third taste of his debut LP, Process, the track is a gorgeous stripped back self-reflection. Acting as a dedication to his late mother, Sampha is only backed by his own keywork (and a very subtle beat). Although he’s no stranger to laying it out there, this seems to one of the most honest moments Sampha has allowed us in on. And it’s reflected by his soulful vocals and spacious soundscape. A deeply personal and honest insight into his life, one that captivates immediately and refuses to let you walk away. I’m not crying, YOU’RE CRYING.
