Ahead of Shamir’s forthcoming debut LP Ratchet, today we receieved another taste in the form of a new single and an Anthony Sylvester directed, drone shot video clip. Darker is gripped by a different malaise than we heard on the previously featured ‘Call It Off’, this time trading the woes of an unhappy relationship for the anxieties of day-to-day expectation and constantly shifting boundaries. From darkness to light, we’re going to stick with Shamir on this one.
