After exploring some of the most beautifully unique terrain Australia has to offer in spectacularly remote places such as Alice Springs and Uluru, Shining Bird have this week revealed their stunning new video for third single “I Can Run”. The single offers yet another slice of deeply moving and utterly impactful songwriting that offers more than a heady mix of aquatic ambience and booming low-end. There’s a terrific sense of understanding that underpins Shining Bird’s music – a passion for Australia’s past, present and future state. With ‘I Can Run’, it’s no different. The clip, which premiered on The Guardian today, features Waangenga Blanco; the Senior Dancer at Bangarra Dance Theatre, and according to him, the story told through this dance all comes down to “the fight to keep Indigenous stories and wisdom alive.”
