Teaming up with SODA_JERK, a “two-person art collective from Sydney that works with sampled material”, The Avalanches today unveiled a weird and wonderful visual accompaniment to a number of Wildflower cuts. Playing host to the sonic wonders of Frankie Sinatra, Subway, The Wozard of Iz and Colours, the video ties together a number of different well known films and television shows that include Beavis and Butt-Head, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and even Daria to create a flowing narrative that continues despite the far reaches of its own reference points. If there was ever a way to truly visualize the wonders of The Avalanches’ music – this is it.
