Tommy Faith is the man behind Sydney’s newly minted TEEF Recordings and also sits at the helm of one of our favourite Australian blogs – Sound Doctrine. The first release on the label is titled ‘Hold It Down’ by Spirit Faces and features Zebra Zap. Hold It Down is a brooding, dynamic pop gem which manages to fuse a number of vastly disparate touch-points and ideas into one transcendent, two minute voyage. There’s a certain dissonance which runs through the single, linking brief interconnecting moments of vital electronica into something which holds true sonic depth. Certainly a release which justified a few listens throughout the week. Don’t just take our word for it, though..

Spirit Faces is set to release his self-recorded, self-mixed debut EP titled Bedroom Music later this year we’ve been told it’s going to have bunch more local collaborations. Stay tuned.
