Annelotte de Graff a.k.a Amber Arcades has made a statement with her new single It Changes, reminding us just how much we have missed her angelic vocals. De Graff’s latest track is a drum heavy journey that effortlessly builds momentum into really fun rock song. The release of her debut album Fading Lines boasted the Dutch singer songwriter’s versatility as an artist and her ability to mould her heartwarming vocal range to any soundscape she embraces. It Changes continues that thought as Amber (can I call her that?) experiments with a slightly heavier sound than what we’re used to which may be an indication of the direction she is heading for her forthcoming EP…
Oh and on a side note, when de Graff isn’t recording music or touring the world she is putting her masters degree in law to good use back home in the Netherlands by helping reunite refugees- who have been granted asylum- with their family members that are still abroad… Maybe I should have photoshopped a cape on the photo above.
