For a punk rock group, New York outfit Brand New haven’t made a whole lot of noise for the last little while. The first release in six years, today’s featured track ‘Mene’ marks an emphatic return for the four-piece and immediately recalls the ferociousness of their last studio record Daisy. Explosive percussion and ascending guitars interplay with fervour to create a brilliant sense of anticipation on ‘Mene’ and we get the sense that there’s only more to come following the group’s performance at Coachella Valley Music & Arts festival just this weekend past along with a slew of future dates which have just been announced over on the band’s official website.
