“I think you’re a joke but I don’t find you very funny”, Courtney Barnett bellows across her brilliant new single. It’s immediately in your head. Brutally honest and even when indifferent, delivered with seething conviction. That’s the score and it’s always as clear as day with this Melbourne artist. ‘Pedestrian At Best’ is rough around the edges in all the right places, rollicking guitar lines soar and create a bittersweet contrast throughout every pivotal moment, and the Charlie Ford clip tells a visually striking tale, an ode to errors and misconstrued emotion. Can you tell that we like it yet?

Pedestrian At Best is the lead single from her forthcoming debut album Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit and sees Barnett reach her contemplative, indecisive best – and it sounds bloody brilliant! The album will be released in Australia via Milk! / Remote Control Records on Friday, March 20th and you can pre-order it right now – HERE.
