LISTEN: I’lls – Mine’s Here or My End’s Here or Nineteen (Naysayer & Gilsun Remix)
Melbourne production duo Naysayer and Gilsun today released their brooding remix of I’lls original tune, ‘Mine’s Here or My End’s Here or Nineteen’. The song was originally heard on the three-piece’s ‘A Warm Reception’ EP, whilst the remix provides a compulsive re-interpretation; a renewed ambience in absence of Simon Lam’s vocals in favor of a refined club beat which ebbs and flows, highlighting the dramatic simplicity of the core notes. It’s layered and boundless and there’s something totally entrancing about the delicate arrangement of these swirling electronic elements. This isn’t the first time these two have worked alongside each other, as Simon Lam provided vocals for Naysayer & Gilsun’s first single ‘In Mind’. Let’s hope it’s not the last time, either.
