Today on the blog we’re featuring one of the more inspired and unique remixes to come across our office playlist in recent times. Melbourne duo Milwaukee Banks have taken on Kučka’s ethereal tune ‘Divinity’ and reworked things toward a more organic, collaborative meeting point for the two. One of the most striking elements of this (their first) remix is the addition of MB vocalist Dyl Thomas in accompaniment to the original’s harmonising lyrics, the combination creates a sense of jolting density by contrast to the original and works superbly in addition to producer Edo Rafter’s signature sound that garnered widespread praise on their Rose Water EP. Don’t sleep on this.
This remix will be a part of a forthcoming package, set for release through Midnight Feature Records on Friday March 27th.
