Today saw Interview Magazine premiere the first ever single from a collaborative duo known as Milwaukee Banks. The two men behind the project are Edo (aka Adrian Rafter/Flight Tonight) and Dyl Thomas (Polo Club) and between them, they have a wealth of experience across a number of projects which have previously featured on the I OH YOU blog. Today’s feature track ‘Pluto Bounce’ incorporates elements of UK garage and electronica with slicing percussion reminiscent of something more hip-hop focused. The overall feeling to this track is something quite intense; it’s something which evokes a darker and more intense late night feel than single moments or elements would suggest. Thomas shines with an undeniably progressive flow which alternates and throws you with each pitch change and his vocals intertwine seamlessly as the song’s elements dance around his words. With word on a forthcoming release titled ‘Sweater Made of Gold’, you can be sure we’ll be watching Milwaukee Banks like hawks over the coming months.
