Sydney artist Nick Hill has been making waves with his debut EP and today we’re featuring its title track and official video ‘Rut’. Characterised by a desire to communicate a sense of suffocating anguish and despair, the track employs a polished production technique set onto a backdrop of surging tones to do just that. Vocally, Hill has an endearing dynamic; unassuming, and at times quaint without ever losing hold of the flow in the piece. A really excellent cut from an EP that doesn’t falter.
