Jack Grace’s debut solo track is one that we’ve been coming back to for a couple of weeks now, and we’re pretty excited to share it with you. ‘Hills’ is one of 2015’s truly great, left of field pop gems for many reasons; first and foremost – its originality is born from a number of teasing elements that never quite fully form. Where humble beginnings that remind the listener of an early James Blake manage to form somewhat of an overly regimented sonic introduction, Hills strives as pulsing percussion, lowly hung keys and deep bass grooves flick in and out of formation along the way – almost willing you to squirm in your chair a little. Extra points for a seamless incorporation of auto-tune. Seriously, that shit is hard. More, please!
