Brooklyn’s Parquet Courts are our feature today and bring with them the epic video for ‘You Got Me Wonderin’ Now’, the first single from this years Tally All The Things That You Broke EP. The track itself is a sincere effort flanked by twiggy, fuzzed out guitars and it marks a clear stylistic progression from previously released tracks such as ‘Borrowed Time’ and our favorite, ‘Stoned and Starving’. What does remain at the heart of this track is the concise songwriting and lyrics which exude a sense of wit and well timed flare which have defined this four-piece for us. The video accompaniment provides a fittingly dim backdrop, featuring a series of changing landscapes and tones floating through the frame as lyrics fade through. It’s an inspired pairing and was directed by Late Night Munchies and Food Party founder Thu Tran.
