Sydney garage heroes Straight Arrows today released ‘Make Up Your Mind’, the lead single from their forthcoming sophomore LP. Three years could have easily felt like a painfully long time to wait between albums, but Straight Arrows have spent the time since the release of ‘It’s Happening’ playing a wide array of shows across the world, including support slots to acts such as Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall and Eddy Current Supression Ring. ‘Make Up Your Mind’ embraces a marked continuum of frenetic punk garage with seeping elements of melodic psych-pop, it’s almost an assault on the senses after an early lure into something much more subtle. This is a track which fully embraces the hallmarks of a Straight Arrows live gig without sacrificing any of the composure and fresh ideas from the first album.
