LISTEN: The Holidays – All Time High
In mid July, we were pleasantly surprised with the sudden release of The Holidays driving comeback single ‘Voices Drifting’. Now, with their long awaited follow up to 2010’s ‘Post Paradise’ looming, the Sydney outfit have again given us a taste of what’s to come with today’s featured track – ‘All Time High’. It’s a killer dream-pop tune which blends electronic and classic guitar sounds to create a dense, driving, atmospheric feel and the hooks are sublime. This is a converging of two distinctly different sounds which fuse in a spectacular way to form something truly unique and captivating. ‘All Time High’ is a single which capitalizes so perfectly on many of the ideas and sounds which were being built carefully on ‘Post Paradise’. It’s big, and it’s fucking brilliant. This forthcoming LP is set to be an defining, coming of age record for The Holidays.
