Los Angeles psych-rock quartet Warpaint today released ‘Love Is To Die’, the lead single from their forthcoming self titled sophomore LP. The track rises from humble beginnings, combining sparse vocal and percussive elements before things slowly progress into an ethereal wonderland. The track employs a great sense of contrast, as softly sung vocal arrangements momentarily deter from the sheer depth of the instrumental fray beneath. It’s a wildly impressive first insight into the band’s next release, which is set to be one of our more highly anticipated releases of the summer.
