It seems that The Knife are finally back! After a startling revelation that the band was back in the studio in mid 2010, the Swedish duo have set April 8th as the final release date for their much-anticipated fourth studio album, the first in seven years! ‘Shaking the Habitual’, in all of it’s neon glory can be streamed over at Pitchfork Advance (by clicking the album artwork above) and does not fail to deliver a complete overload of the senses. The album is dark and polished, with a slightly poppier edge to 2006’s ‘Silent Shout’ which was the last album we heard before mysterious pair disappeared. Speaking of the forthcoming album, the duo proclaimed “Music can be so meaningless. We had to find lust. We asked our friends and lovers to help us.”
It’s safe to say, we are stoked to have them back and we can’t wait to see if they’ll bring the live show to Australia!
