I’ve said it once and I’ve said it again, the best guitar music is consistently being released by women fronted acts, and that trend has slid smoothly right into 2019. For one, please go listen to Cherry Glazerr‘s new LP, and for two (do people say that, for two?), get yourself around Sweater Curse. I’ve written about them before, but with ‘(Hear You)’ we’re at another damn level. The lingering vocals, lead you through the story, one that’s a little depressing, but pretty damn real. It’s raw, and the instrumentation matches, it’s heavy, it’s harsh, and it makes you feel all the things. That’s what I’m into.
‘(Hear You)’ is out now.
