Today saw Collarbones release (or, leak) the video to their standout track ‘Teenage Dream’ from their superb sophomore album ‘Die Young’. Hailing from Sydney and Adelaide, this duo have had a monumental year featuring a slew of support slots and headline shows around the country, recently blowing us away the Sydney’s FBI Radio 10th Anniversary party. The dark ominous intro to the track paired with soaring vocals from Marcus Whale alongside cutting percussion and a superb, dense, layered sound was what caught our ear almost a year ago to the date upon it’s release. The video itself, directed by Reuben Schmidt, pairs sublime hyper-coloured imagery with a cutting viewpoint of both Whale and Travis Cook, shifting from animation to real shots as the track progresses. It’s captivating and connects the dots to create a vivid visual representation of Teenage Dream, be sure to check it out below. Die Young is available through iTunes.
