Sydney three-piece Movement have just released the lead single from their upcoming ‘Us’ EP along with an inspired visual accompaniment, directed by Dave Ma. It’s been a little while since the band’s last release ‘Feel Real’ and by comparison, ‘Us’ is a more stripped back and R’n’B centric piece which has an informed progression whilst retaining the band’s signature sound which caught our ears initially. The down-tempo feel of ‘Us’ allows a more emphatic incorporation of elements and while pristine vocal layering and steel drums intertwine to produce a crisp sound, there’s a certain quality to this track which produces an almost entrancing atmosphere of darkness. The forthcoming EP features stellar remixes from Giraffage and Kowton and has already been shown some much deserved Pitchfork love – details below!
